Uncovering the role communications plays in crisis prevention and risk management. Practical ways in which you can audit and increase your preparedness to mitigate the risk of a crisis, and how to minimize the damage when it does happen.

 

November 5 – Essentials of a Crisis Communications Plan & How to Conduct an Audit

While every organization has its own unique aspects of a crisis communications plan, there are some essentials that every good plan should include. In this session, we’ll dive into the key components of a crisis communications plan, and the most effective way to conduct an audit. How do you stack up?

 

November 19 – The Face of Your Organization – Choosing the right spokesperson

It’s common for an organization to default to the CEO/Administrator of an organization as the spokesperson; however, there are many scenarios where this doesn’t make the best sense for your audiences, reputation, or situation at hand. In this session, we’ll discuss some of the common ways of choosing the right spokesperson(s) for your organization, based on the event.

 

November 26 – Handling Concurrent Emergencies

While we are all still handing an active crisis, the COVID-19 Pandemic, the likelihood that your organization will face a concurrent emergency or crisis is high. There are proven strategies for identifying where those risks are, mitigating them where possible, and handling them to avoid ruin. During this session, we will discuss how to respond to concurrent emergencies within the constraints of budgets, staffing, and other limited resources.

 

December 10 – How to Choose the Right Training Exercise for Your Crisis Comms Team

Do you know the differences between a TTX (Tabletop Exercise), an FE (Functional Exercise), and an FSE (Full-Scale Exercise)? How do you know if your team needs to participate in a workshop, drill, or seminar? In this session, we will go over the different types of training you can offer your crisis communications team, and how to identify what your team needs and when.
